Akemi Mix Bond
Akemi Mixbond is a gel-like 2- component product based on unsaturated polyester resins dissolved in styrene. Mix both components thoroughly. The mixture can be worked for about 7-16 minutes.
Akemi offers a Mixbond Color Spectrum System for natural and engineered stone. The company's system includes 15 pre-mixed polyesters, a BPO hardener and a re-useable mixing board to promote the newest technology in achieving "seamless" joints. All pre-mixed polyesters come in 250-mL tubes and can be applied directly or mixed together to achieve multiple colors. Using a 10:1 system, users can mix any standard colors with seven pre-mixed stone colors to achieve multiple variations.
